Why do we find it so difficult to be happy?
Because at some point, we started associating happiness with “big things.” And the thing about big things are that they don’t happen everyday or often. They’re like milestones- and often fewer in life than every few kilometres on the road.
The secret of happiness lies in the small things. Like feeling the golden sun in your face. Watching a crab go into waters. The sunlight being as playful as the kids. A stolen moment with your love. A simple plate of food with the liberty of some spice. A hearty cup of milk with an Indian treat. A full moon. A a selfie with a BFF who you anyway spend most of the time with.
And have you noticed that these things cost nothing? The day you start living these moments, happiness will be in abundance, readily waiting there for you to experience it.
It’s ALWAYS the small things. What’s a small thing you love doing?
